Franzen - reliable protection from noise and acoustic pollution
Noise is defined as the exposure to a high sound level that is disturbing or even harmful to health. Noise in daily life is a burden that can cause proven harm to health.
Suitable measures to reduce the transmission of the noise-generating sound are called acoustic performance. Structural measures can reduce or even prevent the transmission of sound in buildings. Particular attention is paid to the passageways in walls - i.e. the doors - when it comes to acoustic performance. This is because they are usually a weak point in acoustic insulation. That is why suitable acoustic performance doors are of particular importance. They can protect passages in walls against the transmission of sound and thus ensure comfortable peace and quiet.
Improved acoustic performance even for doors with glass inset cut-outs
Especially areas that are exposed to high noise levels can receive a great benefit from acoustic performance doors. As an additional highlight, Franzen now offers high-performance acoustic performance doors with glass cut-out on request.
Acoustic performance tested by TÜV Nord
The new Franzen SN-1 single-leaf acoustic performance doors offer further improved acoustic insulation. TÜV Nord has tested the acoustic performance of the doors and shows that the new doors achieve a acoustic insulation of up to 53 decibels for full steel doors (acoustic insulation value RW (C;Ctr) = 53 (-1;-5) dB) and - brand-new - of up to 52 decibels for door elements with glass cut-out (acoustic insulation value RW (C;Ctr) = 52 (-1;-5) dB.
On request - as usual - also combinable with additional performance characteristics
As with all Franzen security doors, the new acoustic performance doors can of course be combined with other performance characteristics. This allows their use in the most diverse areas of application. Individual combinations with single or several additional requirements are possible - such as fire protection, smoke control or burglar resistance.
Franzen acoustic performance doors
Basically the new, improved Franzen doors with acoustic insulation provide the following performance characteristics:
- increased acoustic insulation values due to increased acoustic insulation value up to RW (C;Ctr) = 53 (-1;-5) dB** according to EN ISO 10140-1 / EN ISO 10140-2 / EN ISO 717-1,
-
acoustic performance doors with glass inset cut-out possible,
acoustic insulation value with glass inset cut-out RW (C;Ctr) = 52 (-1;-5) dB* according to EN ISO 10140-1 / EN ISO 10140-2 / EN ISO 717-1, - newly developed lighter door construction,
- newly developed floor seal against sound transmission,
- on request with smooth running door hinges as easy running door,
- on request in flush mounted optics „FLAT“,
- on request in combination with fire protection (T30, T90, EI230, EI260, EI290),
- on request in combination with smoke control (RS, S200),
- on request in combination with burglar resistance (up to RC4).
