KfW Efficiency Building 40
Franzen is committed to sustainability - and our new company building is no exception. In addition to successful architecture, the practicality and energy efficiency of the offices and production halls are of particular importance to us. As a future-orientated company, the careful use of resources is also a matter of course for us. That is why we made a conscious decision to construct the entire new building to the demanding KfW 40 standard.
The KfW Efficiency Building 40 standard
The KfW Efficiency Building 40 can utilise the primary energy input very efficiently. It requires only 40 % of the primary energy of a reference building that fulfils the requirements of the German Building Energy Act (GEG).
The KfW 40 standard is made possible by the consistent use of state-of-the-art technology, intelligent building control and high-quality insulation materials.
The result is an excellent indoor climate, reduced operating costs and an active contribution to climate protection.
A place for customers and staff
Franzen is typically characterised by well considered planning and consistent implementation right from the start. Our new building is intended to be a modern workplace and a lively place of innovation, communication and inspiration for the entire Franzen team and its customers.
This is why we placed so much importance on ecological and economic sustainability right from the planning phase. The special architecture and use of modern building materials create a comfortable indoor climate for everyone. Light-flooded, bright and ergonomically designed workplaces with generously sized communal areas create a working atmosphere in which creativity and team spirit can flourish.
The energy-efficient heating management and intelligent ventilation technology as well as the well-designed building envelope, together with the use of renewable energies, make a decisive contribution to effective energy savings.
We are very happy with our new home in Hückelhoven.
